Sounds most likely like a wiring issue. You have two options from where I see it.

Check/Replace Fuse. If fuse seems OK, then double check that you got the right bulbs.

I would think that you might have a break/tear/rip somewhere in the wires. My best guess would be where your trunk/lid opens and closes. There should be wires running along side to the actual trunk lid/hatch. Sometimes they get caught or rip just from the motion of open/close.

Hope that helps

Mine suck like hell... if you look at them, they look bright and all, but they cast NO LIGHT behind the car... useless...

Get a multimeter and check to see how much voltage it getting to the bulbs

I checked all the wires and there are no visible cracks, tears or rips. Its weird cause I thought if something was wrong with the wiring or something, the lights would be completely out but instead there just really dim...

haven't done it yet, but am I going to be looking for 12V, or are the regulated to less than that?

mine were out when i first got my BD. Changed the bulbs nothing. Got the reverse light switch that goes on the side of the tranny and bingo, that was it. I believe it was around 20 dollars for a BD.
