Some time ago I severed the signal wires going to my dual filament bulbs in my 2001 Legacy GT. Now only one filament is active which is the parking light. So now when I activate my signals only the top (signal light) flashes. This is the result I was looking for, but the fact that now the signals blink faster is something I did not anticipate, being a complete novice when it comes to electricity. Is there someone who knows why this is the case and on how to get the blinkers back to normal without reconnecting the wire to the second filament on the bottom bulb. Is it because of a drop in resistance?
The reason I did this is that I have JDM A headlights with HID and the bottom bulb is an S25 and comes in white and I don't want both the amber and white signals to blink (would look stupid). It looks much better with only the top signal active (even with the fast blinking).
From what I can gather, the black wire from the car is ground, black/green is the switched ground for the signal filament (Presently severed) and black/blue is the 12+V.
Thanks
