I am getting sick and tired of your nonsense typing.
Try to make things EASY for other people to read, ok?

Go back and clean up your other posts, learn how to SPELL and how to use correct punctuation.

did someone pee in your cheerios huffer? Your grammar and spelling is pretty bad though. I'm not going to lie...

"When typing email, please be aware that there are three different forms of the word pronounced 'there':
The first is spelled t-h-e-y-apostrophe-r-e,
it's a contraction of the noun 'they' and the verb 'are', you see.
T-h-e-i-r is a possessive pronoun when you want to say 'they possess it'
or 'it belongs to them'
And t-h-e-r-e? Is an adverb with direction which often times is used to modify a preposition.
With practice you can use all three in a sentence, for example:
'They're in there with their bear.' there I said it.

I don't like the way that you're talking to me,
But I don't really mind what you're sayin'
My back'll be turned to the words that you speak
until you find a way to properly convey them..."

Who else would it have been posted towards?

Just formulate a complete sentence using good grammar, and edit any mistakes before you post next time.

he corrected on grammar. Schaffer The Darklord has a song all about people and their annoying talking habits and such. I just felt the need to share his lyrics. It's much better when he raps them... lol.

Ok guys, something like this needs to be directed to him in PM's. Yes it's annoying but send him a PM, and not in this thread.

I didnt join this fourm to be told how to form sentances properly . I belive that we all joined this to find out the answer's to our questions. if I really cared about how it sounded then, I probly would not type that way !
dose anybody have anything other than complaints like uh.. the answer to my question ?

See here's the thing. If you don't type clearly, so that others can read it, INCLUDING the thread title - then no-one is going to take the time to answer your question.

Get it? We're not doing this to be a PITA, but take 10 more seconds and think about what you're typing. It's not a race.

In answer to your question - I don't know if there's a difference in the resin used. You didn't post a pic or even say where you bought it from. It could be a flex-resin, or just a cheap one. Who knows?

I was gonna say it but i seem to get flamed or ignored whenever i make a post.

EDIT:
I have zer0 Knowledge about CF but i am assuming that it can be patched up using regular Fibre Glass resin, but the whole thing will need to be repainted but i highly doubt CF can be Repaired to its original state.

MAY I Repeat, I have 0 Knowledge of CF.

ahh boy, my deepest & sincere apologies, I should have said i have never "Worked" with CF....Anyone who is a automotive enthusiast knows "What" carbon fiber is.

Chip once you get a chance, as huffer said, can you supply us with some pictures so we can see the extent of the damage?

well, the hood is made by seibon.i bought the hood from a guy who had it on his car and a dog jumped up and scratched it . the resina began to crack . i can chip off the resin and not damage the carbon fiber mat .
here are a few pics of the hood and the damage

Well, given that the resin over the CF matting is basically a shell, I would say that as with any shell once it's cracked, it's done. I would think you'd have to cut the resin cleanly enough to patch it... it will probably never look 100%, but you might be able to cover it up with a cool decal or something.

Chip off all the lose resin, then apply new stuff, get it smooth and paint the whole hood. Who cares if you can see the CF you really want it for the weight reduction.... That's what I would do anyway.

It IS a bugeye hood. You can tell by the crease marks. 2nd Gen hoods have 1 line, in a 'u' shape across the center of the hood. Oh, and Siebon never made hoods for the BD/BK/BG either. The only ones I've heard of have been from the old Group Buy a long time ago.

And the group buy hood.

lol silly SLiers, I assumed off that bat he caught a sweet deal on a damaged hood and was going to repair it and flip it. But then again I also thought he said it was from an Impreza in his first post.

My apologies sir. In that case, couldn't you sand the damaged spot down and apply some resin in layers to build it back up, before buffing it to a nice shine? It wouldn't be as strong as new, but it'd be better than nothing.

chipLRX-SLI

owe no problem. sanding could damage the carbon fiber mat ,but you can chip off the cracked resin. i need to know if there is a diffrent resin for carbon fiber .

its all good there is a diffreance in resin's. carbonf fiber resin also cost's leke 3 time's as much a fiberglass resin. i traded the hood for two 12' kickers a amp and a sub box. and i traded the scoop off of the hood for tanabe df210 lowering springs. i paid 100 for the hoodwith scoop ,so i think i made two good trades .

on that legacy with the cf hood . is that a lgt bumper with a lip or, a oem style with a larger lip ?

Thanks for the resin info. It sounds like you made out well on the hood deal. Cajual's legacy (above) has the regular GT bumper with an aftermarket lip that's larger.

very nice , that lip looks sweeet . and the hood is amazing . yeah in my region there are alot off ppl with cf hoods for impreza's and such . usually like 100 bucks or so . my buddy actually got a cf trunk for 100 and had it clearcoated again and flipped it for 400 .where would i come about getting a lip like that ?
