Got myself a late x-mas gift

Since I checked Whiteline's site and noticed in the quick overview of their products that the rear strut bars for the wagons weren't listed I might have been S.O.L. on getting them. (I just checked and they ARE still available.) I checked with Global Performance to see if they had any and they did so I ordered them and they arrived today :grin: . I will be installing them hopefully tomorrow after work or Thursday. And before anyone asks, I know I could have gotten the E-bay WRX front for A LOT cheaper, but I figured why not get the pair (I was more interested in the quick release rear) and have one guaranteed to fit and made for a Legacy (yes I know Legos, but still). Will post pics when installed. Now I'll have to change my signature again

I'll second the eBay deal; only my intake is an eBay special and I got these from a dealer I found originally on eBay.
Ask and you shall receive blackgtbeauty. I got bored and the weather cleared up for a second and knew I wouldn't be able to sleep so I decided to install my goodies :grin: . The rear brace went in real easy, only had to cut a bit of the plastic carpet side panels (will be covered by plastic caps when notched), but the front was a little complicated due to the "u" piece on the passenger strut tower. The brace plate would not clear it so a little late night hammering got it bent in enough to clear the brace plate (need to drill out the spot weld so I can adjust the plate though). Also, on the drivers side I had to lower the canister mounted to the tower (thankfully all I had to do was unclip it and slide it down then reclip). Now for the pics.

I'm not trying to rain on your parade, but I had zero fitment issues with my ebay strut braces and the rear also hides under the rear cover. I haven't even bothered to notch the plastic covers, I just leave them off and have the cargo cover extended all the time unless I'm hauling a load.

On the subject of the quick release, it's not a rocket science mod - a few choice parts from a hardware store will do the same thing.

The rear bar I got from ebay (02+ WRX wagon) is as strong and light as the Whiteline.

But hey - at least now you get to put the whiteline sticker on the car and I get to add "ebayracing" to mine. ;)
