I CANNOT find ANY information about 1998 Legacy GT's. I can't find the curb weight, I can't find the gear ratios, I can't find final drive, I can't find squat. What the fuck? This is pissing me off to no end! Put in "1998 Legacy GT Final Drive" and you get results in Google that don't have ANYTHING to do with a 1998 Legacy, nor a Legacy GT, nor is "final drive" ANYWHERE on the page, nor does it even have anything to do with Subaru! What the kljfsdajfsda;klkljfsda; hell?!

Can anyone help me out here? And this is the USDM BK, not the fucking 2.0 TT JDM car, which I can find so much unwanted information about.

Did you try cars101.com?

Have you tried just emailing Subaru America? John Mergen always responds to my emails via the my.subaru.com site.

I've gotten some very helpful tech from there, including paint codes etc.

Final Drive ratio is 4.11
curbweight is 3,180 lbs.

I knew the FD off the top of my head, and the curbweight came from here:

Say what you will about Nasioc, but there's just a TON of info there.

I think that the FD is 4.11 for MT and 4.44 for AT.

You are correct about the FD being 4.44 for the AT's. My BD cruises better on the freeway than my BK.

Thanks for the FD and curb weight. Any idea on first, second, etc. gear ratios?

I don't know offhand, but for anyone to give an answer, they're going to need to know if you have an MT or an AT???

Sarra has a 5MT, hence the 4.11 answer

Yeah, looking for the 5MT first through fifth gear ratios. I'd try Gran Turismo, but it would just give me JDM ratios. :(
