Resetting the ECU

How do i reset the ECU on my 1999 2.5GT EJ25D w/MAF??

please help me out, i know this is probably simple but i'm new to the ECU w/ this car. thanks.

You should be able to disconnect the neg. bat. cable, and hold the brake for 30 seconds... that should do 'er

Nah, you disconnect the battery for a length of time, say 10 minutes or so, and just pump the brakes once after you disconnect to drain any energy left in the system...

You don't have to hold the brakes down, but I would say you should keep it disconnected for longer than 30 seconds. I don't know what the exact time is.
