Checking trans fluid level on a 5spd BD

I wanted to check my transmission fluid level and i found the dipstick on the passenger side of the tranny... but there is a bunch of wires right above it and i literally cant get it out of its hole. anyone done this before?

reaching is not the problem. i reach it and am able to pull it out like 5 inches, but then i cant get it past the wires and even i forced it out, im sure the reading would be fuggled up by then.

yea, u gotta bring it up behind the wires, then drop it down below them when the stick is far enough out... those wires are easy to move if you ever take the intake off, thats what I did
