Request: blueprints

Hello,

Does anyone know where I can get good blueprints of my cars? I need a blueprint of a 1998 Subaru Legacy 2.5 GT Sedan and a 2000 Outback Station Wagon.

I am trying to find blueprints that show front, rear, side, and top views of cars. I did some searching last night and found a few myself - I just didn't know if anyone had any better scans or prints available for the old model years.

I want them for a program I am thinking about programming.

possibly - whether it's a real picture of the car or a wireframe I don't know, but it would be great if I could get blueprints or very good side, front, rear, and overhead shots of the cars based on real pics.

"of the car" is still a very vague term - are you looking for a sheetmetal diagram, frame structure, powertrain, wiring?

I believe he is meaning like a wire frame of it. Just kinda like a rendering of the car from the top, side, front and whatnot. I would have to guess that he is going to set up a program that will work like this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orthographic_projection

Probably very hard to come by. Blue prints are proprietary information and don't leave the factory that's producing the parts. Generally speaking outside vendors don't see the assembly of the parts they are building. We make some subaru parts at my work and there is absolutely no copies of the blueprints allowed beyond what has been given to us.

Another way to think of it is... If the blueprints are out there, imagine how many chinese foresters and imprezas we'd be seeing. :lol:

I know I want to use blueprints for a personal project of mine... let's just say I want to see how my cars look in different colors and with different parts on them.

(This would be a massively ambitious project.)
