Front/Rear heights

so, i'm wondering if it makes any difference to handling if the fronts and rears are lowered by different amounts.

let's assume that alignmnet setting have been put back to factory specs.

after my wrx suspension settled on my legacy the front was slightly higher than the rear. On the highway it was a bit squirrely. :neutral: No difference around town though.

i've finally gone out there and measured where they are...


with just under a ful tank of petrol and about 10lbs of junk in the boot, it's a 0.15 inch difference with the rear being lower then the front. which should be fine when i take all the stuff out of the boot (spare wheel, false floor, tools, and the 10lbs of random junk)

That's usually the case...slightly saggy butt, even on stock coils.

Just an FYI, your spring rate coupled with the ride height would be a more accurate description of how it'll affect your handling, braking and acceleration.

Grip is all about the weight transfer between your 4 wheels.

thought i might add...

my understanding of the stock ride height measured from center of sheel to wheel arc is:

F: 15"
R: 14.4"

now it's at:

F: 13.75
R: 13"

and the car is sitting on a set of JDM spec'd Tein Flex

Nah, you don't need it. Corner balancing is really for race cars. You're fine as it is. It's moreso an aesthetic thing on street cars (ride height that is).

the hard thing for me is that i'm trying to set the car up for both daily driving as well as the occasional track driving..
