I like these wheels, Sport Max Racing Type 006 (Black w/ Red Lip)

http://www.buywheelstoday.com/products/ ... Lip%29.bwt (http://www.buywheelstoday.com/products/Type+006+%28Black+w%2F+Red+Lip%29.bwt)

Size = 17X7 Offset = 40mm 5x100

I know this will fit my '98 legacy gt right? but when i search "will this wheel fit my vehicle" it doesn't approve of it...no results. I tried other websites with the same wheel...and still came up with nothing. so....

People dont like running that low of an offset on Subarus... bad on the wheels bearings.

I am running a 17x7 ( on non-snowy days) with a 40et. It is fine.
I figure on older cars, the bearings arent that great anyway, so wear them out faster to get new ones!

they should be fine, and they look bad ass!

The offset is a little low...

From some of the posts ive read, a lot of people dont like going lower then 48 offset because it will wear out your wheel bearings.

I've just got the front bearings replaced. so it'll last me awhile if i do get these wheels.

so for a fact they'll fit, but puts load on the bearings, ok.

and what size tires you guys recommend with 17X7? without rubbing.

and DOOK, lets see them wheels on your ride! any pics?

waiting on the coilovers to arrive and then I am going to do a test fit of the wheels just to take some pictures for all the eager beavers we have here before taking them back off for the rest of winter... no sense in ruining a set of perfect Works Meister S2Rs because of impatience

what do you have again? BD? spacers to fit?

BH... shouldn't need spacers, maybe a pretty nice fender roll, I'll have to see. I'll running tires to accomodate, maybe 205 40s, maybe 215 40s... have to see.

My first set of wheels were 17x7et43 and they rubbed like crazy in the rear with 215-40 Kumho 711s. That was unlowered too.

Edit: That was on a BD btw. The later years have more space in the wheel wells, but I still wouldn't want to stress the wheel bearings more than I had to.

wow, rubbing with 17X7 215/40R17? so is this rubbing on the fenders? or on the strut tower?

fender im ok with, i'll roll it if necessary....but the strut part is gonna be a problem.
