A blower on a 350 lol

Whats funny about that video too is that they keep saying that car is riced out and they are driving a SRT4 with "racing" stripes.

I would've Rofflecopter'd if the guy with the 350Z actually raced and beat them...Just think...pulling up beside that, taking off the line, only to get an earful of supercharger whine as he blows past you. I'd probably just shoot myself.

that guy in the 350 is an idiot. why the hell would someone his age need to rice the shit out of that 350 for? its already a badass car so reserve that shit for 16 year old kids with broke ass hondas.

and who the hell would even think of running 14 psi on a VQ35 with stock
exhaust. thats just asking for a motor rebuild.

as for the V8 OB thats a jeep grand cherokee V8 emblem BTW.

I've actually talked to a freind of mine about putting a 4.6 modular in a Legacy...

It's definitely possible. Throw the weight balance that the car has (I believe it's nearly 50/50) way the hell off though.

When I was a kid, I stuck a "4 Wheel Drive" emblem from a wrecked Jeep on my parents Ford Galaxie trunk lid. When it was parked, folks walking down the street would spot the emblem, assume it was real and do a double take.

Just because someone stuck a 'V-8' emblem on an Outback hatch, doesnt mean that they actually droped a 5+ Liter V8 under the hood.

No, no, it's much closer to centered than that. But yeah, the wagon is something like 52/48 or 51/49.

Either way, a V8 will drag the front end of that car way down. It wouldn't handle for shit.

Mid-mount the engine!

I could imagine a LGT wagon with a straight 8 behind the driver, hooked up to a RWD transmission... And a boot under the hood. :D

Ls1's go great in everything.

It may not handle that well ,but at least it could get out of it's own damn way, plus no headgakets issues, and I bet you a modern v8 would get way better gas mileage than any newer outback.

Handling could be helped to SOME degree, a modualr isn't very big, Nor that heavy for a v8. Mount the v8 as far back as possible and fab up a rear mounted transmission...

Certainly no Subaru transmission would hold up to a v8 anyway, except a 6 speed. even then, not much modified v8 power.

Ahh...bolt on a supercharger ,and behold demonic power.

Of course another option would be a certain H6 engine made by a certain German automaker who makes a certain car called a 911.

just to make an arguement, I kinda bet the V8 wouldnt change the Weight Distribution at all...

a Small Block Chevy With Alt/water Pump weighs only about 40 lbs more than a Mazda 13b Rotory engine (N/A, not Turbo)

In my 84 RX-7, which Had a 12a (the tiny one that right now is stored away in two egg crates)
The SBC will still allow me to have around 52/48, without moving the battery or any other mods...

A rotary engine, not a Subaru engine. All aluminum block? A person can lift a Subaru shortblock by themselves...
