I had planned on dropping a 3sgte in it, converting to AWD and finishing out the gtfour front end, but then my daughter came along and daddy's off to find a car that fits her safely. This is kind of my goodbye post to the celica as she's what's gotten me into the legacy by way of trade. I've been reading your forums since I started considering a legacy as my next car, and I like the fact that for the model I have there's not a lot of easily accessible stuff to do to it (aside from the basics) so I wont see nearly as many as all the other cars I see being worked on (civic, integras, etc). I have no problem with any car somebody enjoys, but I like mine to be a little different. Around here, you didnt see many 6th gen celicas being worked on, so that was one thing I loved about my old car. Makes me feel better about the switch.

Anyway, flame on. I'm new, be gentle, I bleed.

agreed. I had heard from a bunch of people on 6gc that the magnaflow mufflers carried more of a quiet deep tone, which is the exact opposite as what it turned out to do. :( I ordered it super cheap and just said fuck it, I'll deal with the canister look because I couldnt find a more traditional styled high flow muffler, and three days after I had the exhaust line built I found one even cheaper than the fart can. Even the rims were a little too flashy for me, and I really don't think you need 17s on a car that's powered by a weak ass little 7afe, but I grew to like them. Just that muffler always bothered me.

I got a bosal ordered for the legacy, and it looks more like the sti exhausts I've seen. Hopefully it doesnt sound obnoxious though. Sometimes it's fun hearing your car sound more powerful than it is, but most of the time it was pretty embarassing.
