Since I put on my Whiteline Control springs and new KYB GR-2s i have noticed a popping/tapping noise coming from what sounds to be the driverside front.

Happens every once and awhile when the weight would be shifting, say going around corners slowly or taking off, doesnt do it at highway speeds or faster speeds. I gave it a once over and nothing looked loose or anything.

Anyone else have this problem when they first put on lowering springs/new struts?

Or anyone know what this could be?

Thanks

I believe its coming from my tophat, cause i noticed it will do it when i am sitting still and then turn the wheels left and right. Possibly a bad tophat?

Anyone run into this when they installed the group n tophats?

Could it be described as a clunking noise? Certainly more noticeable at slower speeds with less road noise...

yeah, you could say clunking noise. like i said, when i turn the wheel sitting still just goes, pop, pop, pop, pop, pop real fast.

like something springy would do say when you took weight off of it and put on it. if that makes any sense...

I had a weird poping noise in my front ,and it was sway bar bushings.

I thought about that, cause lowering your car will put more strain on sway bar bushings wont it?

Yeah, the tophats going bad are going to make more noise going over bumps and such in a straight line. Just turning is likely the swaybar.
