View Full Version : GT vrs L springs
Is there any difference? I've heard they are 50% stiffer? Is that true? If so...I can get some Gt springs for my L at less than $40 right now...

I know for the BEs, the GT springs are stiffer than the Ls. Not sure bout BGs an whatnot but I can see it being the same deal with them

They are stiffer, 50%? I doubt that. IMO GT springs suck. My GT handle like shit till I went with H&R springs GR2 strut set up.

I already have gr2's and 20 F and 18 R sway bars.

Well if you aren't looking for real stiff, just more than what you have now go for it. But I highly doubt GT springs are 50% stiffer than L's.

wrx springs aren't even 50% stiffer than the stockers.
You might be better off saving for ground control coilover sleeves.

GT suspension is 15% stiffer than L suspension. Whether or not that is attributed to just the springs, I don't know.

how much lower are the GT springs ???
after 160k my stock L suspension is prolly sagging a bit...
would NEW GT suspension keep it about the same ?
Yeah, about the same, outback springs which are the stiffest would raise your car.

GTs sit higher than Ls, you do the math.

That may be the larger rims/tires too. I'm pretty sure the suspension itself is the same.
And the magic percentage is 15% as Huffer Mentioned. I really don't know if that's the springs or not. Judging by the way Subaru usually does upgrades, it's more likely the struts.

Which is why i've decided not to bother with it, I have gr2's already.

^ forgot about that, so yea, the ride height differance is exactly the differance from the taller tires on the GT. (i calculated it)

ahh ok...
optimaly I would go with Legacy wagon GR2 struts with Leg wagon stock GT springs...
but Price is my problem... I will probably just end up using WRX wagon full suspension...
Can someone tell me what year WRX suspension will fit my 98 Leg wagon ???
02- 07 ???
