1300 for all that? You got a good deal. With the new headgaskets, you should be set for the life of the car, provided they're using the newest updated Subaru gaskets.

at least now you got that done and over with and should be set for the life of the car.

How did you notice the HG was gone? Loss of power?

$1300s a little high you getting charged $75hr? 11+hrs of labor IF flat rate =750+ 150 for all the gaskets + 65 for the timing belt +250 for the pump if new not remanf + 50 for all fluids =1265 missing misc. seems high to me.
hmm have you sent it some where yet?

i noticed because the overflow tank bubbled over and poured all over the back of 1 of my cooling fans. i thought the thermo got stuck so I replaced it. did it again a few more times. brought to my mechanic he tested said HG was letting air in the cooling system. so i brought back to the dealer i got it at.

Well, I consider it low because I've heard of quotes upwards of 2,000 dollars for a headgasket job.

I know the 98 forester I had the rear oil crank seal was shot.. used about 1 QT of oil every 2 days...

yay 4 " of snow. played on the way to work this morning on unplowed backroads. drifting is my thing.... anyways

haha see what I told you about snow? Watch next year when it's winter I wont get any snow to play in...

hmm will they pull the code? I know I had the ABS light flash last year with the forester.. what happen was the AS tires were almost bald and some dick slowed going up the hill and I got caught by the light.. when it turned green again I got stuck in the forester.. took me like 4 min just to crest the hill and the ABS light flashed and ever since then the AWD never felt right...

I had one day parked in front of my building both rears on ice but the front on pretty dry ground.. went to pull out and the rears just spun and I really did not move and the ABS light flashed again... I heard it's a speed sensor thing but I dunno.

Pick it up at the dealers and drive it to the meet in July right?

My car is going into service the head gaskets on July 17th. Took that week off from work so I can relax and I won't need the car that week.
