I would like to know if sway bar fro a impreza STI 2004 would fit on my legacy GT 1997.

Thank you

since 1st and 2nd gen wagons can share parts with the imprezas (suspension wise), I would be inclined to guess yes, but I'm really not sure. PM scottzg if he doesn't get here in the next few days. How big is this sway bar?

I'm really not shure about the dimension because it's some guy on subaru montreal club who's selling those. But thanks for your tip

Short answer- I don't know.

Wrx rear bars will bolt up, but the sti bar is 2 inches wider, and im pretty sure the sti has different lateral links. If a sti bar bolts up to a wrx, you're good.

Sorry.

I would go with the "probably not" answer for this one, if you look at the shape of the bars they are slightly different and could cause a problem for you down the road. Clearance is an issue, so you'd have to make sure it'd fit over top of your exhaust and that the endlinks aren't too big. Best bet would be to compare it to a sway bar made for your car, e.g. one found on www.cobbtuning.com (http://www.cobbtuning.com) or www.racecompengineering.com (http://www.racecompengineering.com) (a sway for a GC will fit on a BD/BG, and possibly a BE, but I'd look into it further. For a definate answer email Myles or Drew at www.racecompengineering.com (http://www.racecompengineering.com) , those guys are great resources when it comes to what fits what and "is there anything I can get to make it compatible". Good luck, let us know how you make out. Only real way to figure it out is to try it and either succeed or fail, lets hope its the former.
