Which year do you have?

They changed the front bumper in 2002.

There are JDM bumpers available from a number of importers.

Has anyone swapped the BE/BH GT/outback headlights into a non GT BE/BH at all?

SilentRacer has done it.

SilentRacer has done that to his 03 Legacy L. It involves a bit of soldering and wire splicing I'm sure.

EDIT: Dammit DLC, you beat me by 3 minutes.

@OP: Are we just talking about a different model year? Or is this from say...a BL to a BE? I really like the 03/04 bumpers...don't know why we ever got the almost ugly looking 00-02 ones.

Fixed.

If they all looked the same, what would we have to talk about?

The first-gen has the same pre-post facelift discussions. The difference with them is that it wasn't just the bumper cover and grille, it was everything. Some like the 89-91 while others prefer the 92-94. My fave is the 91 Sport Sedan in Winestone.

Swap, it's the spice of life!

Search on NASIOC Legacy forum for Outback bumper being put on regular Legacy's. The install should be basically the reverse of what they did to make it work there.

well i never told this theory to anyone yet but i was also thinking of changing the face a little bit, and theoreticaly speaking 03-05 forseter headlights should fit in our fender lines as they look extremely similar

so i was thinking that if one day i find very cheap headlight i will experiment but then if it does to make it look good i'd have to put fossy hood, bumper assy, grill and bunch of other small things that will cost a lot. This is just a theory of mine if anyone has any input on this LMK. would be cool to have 6 cyl forester sedan. wouldnt it?

im sure pretty sure the GT headlamps will fit the regular L model, just the wiring concerns me since there is seperated high and low beam from my understanding.
