Painted Brakes?

I wanted to get my brakes painted red, is this possible or do i need to buy already red brakes? and if it is possible, do i need to take it to a special place to get it done, or would a regular auto paint be alright?

Do you mean the brake calipers?

If so, then you can do it yourself. Just go buy some brake caliper paint at your local autostore.

just go buy some of the HIGH Heat engine Enamel... with Ceramic... its good up to 1200 deg.

I painted my calipers red, and the Rotors Silver.... the paint on the rotor surface that touches the pads wears away the first time you tap the brakes, and the center looks nice and new all the time...

To use the caliper paint, do you have to take the calipers off of the car? or is it possible to paint them while they are still on.

^ u can paint them still on, just tape up what dont want to change color haha. and yea i dont recommend painting the rotor surface haha.

I used G2 two-part paint on mine. I used Duplicolor ceramic paint on my friend's RX8. Both seem to do what they're supposed to and last for a while (at least a couple of years).

when i bought my car rotors had a nice layer of 5year old rust on them calipers werent looking to new i just took wire brush to them then sprayed with rust eating paint and then coated with high heat duplicolor paint after a year its still there.
