View Full Version : Which HID kit?
for my 03 legacy... I've got a burnt bulb and thinking about just going HID while I've got to be working on something anyway. Thinking about getting the hella kit also, comments? I don't know which type to get as I know nothing about them. H1, H4, etc... I really have no clue... someone help a dummy. I read the sticky HID thread but it didn't tell me a whole lot besides which temperature was best for what conditions.

Have you read this thread: https://sl-i.net/FORUM/viewtopic.php?t=7976
If so can you ask a more specific question?
Your bulb size is 9007
yeah, i read that thread. I know I want to go with a 6k kit, but other than that I have no idea what I need to order. All the bulb numbers and all that crap are just japanese to me.

i ran 6k at one point, it wasn't much light due to my OEM plastic headlamps. Anything pass 6k is just color.

Ok, what you need is an HID conversion kit that comes in your bulb size of 9007. This will have 2 Ballasts and 2 Bulbs. It is a plug and play kit.
However you may first consider changing to gt headlights.....my explanation as to why can be found at the bottom of this thread https://sl-i.net/FORUM/viewtopic.php?t=8323

thanks for the info... I'm not looking at spending enough money to switch headlights right now though, so either I'll just get regular bulbs or I'll blind people I guess...

Search here for the beam patterns and the like when I put an HID kit into the 9007 L housings.
GT is a little better in the beam pattern...don't know if it's worth extra $200 or so for a GT set (well you can try to get them used), but it's up to you.
