i have a 98 gt i have a cassette and a cd player and the cd player is hooked into the cassette player and they are basically two separate units...would i even be able to put an aftermarket stereo in it without it looking weird?

you could buy a double din deck. or get a tray under the deck

Yep.

Each of of your components is single din sized (a DIN is 7.09" x 1.97", it's the standard).

BD/BG's have room for two DIN sized compnents:

Either a Double-DIN (DD) headunit, or a single DIN unit with a pocket/adapter to go under/over the unit to fill in the space.

Purchase a headunit from Crutchfield and they include just about everything you need, be it either size.
