My 98 LOB has the factory alarm in it with the factory LED light and panel in the instrument surround (next to the fog light switch). Granted I haven't invested an awful lot of time into trying to track down the wires to see anything but I know I cannot for the life of me figure out how to completely remove the "pod" from the surround. It makes it a royal PITA to get behind the panel surround with the 2 inches of slack in the alarm wires. Can I cut all the wires to the light (last resort) and not have it affect the alarm or is there a connector somewhere so I can unplug the wires from the panel so I can paint my surround and put in another switch in place of the alarm light. Ultimate goal is to put another fog switch for my separate driving lights in place of the alarm light and move it to the console where the coin tray is. Any help would be appreciated.
