I recently installed a new CD player and found it difficult to find info online describing the process, so I decided to snap a few photos that might help other people if they decide to do the same.

Removing the trim surrounding the deck and shift nob.
The piece around the shift nob is pretty easy to remove, it is just held on by a few clips. Once this has been removed it's time to remove the larger piece surrounding the deck itself.

Now with the first piece off we can now see a few screws that need to be removed. Also make sure to take out the ash tray and set it aside. Most of the screws that you need to remove are very easy to see, except for the (2) that are under the ashtray, these you can feel with your fingers and you will need a very short phillips screw driver to get to.

Once you have removed the ashtray screws and any other screws you can see holding the trim on you will be able the pop it off. It will be wired to your lighter so you will need to unhook the harness before you can completely remove it.

With the trim removed you will now be able to reach the remaining screws that holds the metal frame that your decks sit in.(I believe there are a total of 6 screws holding this frame) Once you remove these you can pull the frame out enough to get to the small screws holding your individual decks in place.

I apologize for the lack of any info you might need. If you have any questions just post it here and I will try and answer them.

Good stuff but you should add more detail and make it a true DIY :-D

I tried to think so, but i found it was not as the same in the actual process. As you mentioned, I still have doubts, but really thank you for sharing!
