One of my friends just let me borrow the most recent issue of subiesport. The one that covers the 'SubyClub World Meet".

Cajual was in there--What happened to the CF hood? Your BD is looking great. Any of you other guy/gals in there--I saw a fair number of 2nd gen legs, with a smattering of 1st and 3rd gens. Congrats if you got in.

Also, this reader letter popped up. Is this any of you guys?
Why is the BD Legacy always the bastard?
With apologies to the red-headed stepchildren...
I was so pumped for this December issue because I thought for sure we were going to get an update on this car (Project 97 Legacy GT)! Why is the BD Legacy always the bastard stepchild?
I saw a post saying it was getting tuned by Subiesport Technical Editor Tim Bailey, and saw photos of it "finished" at SEMA, but nothing about it in the Mag.
If this in-depth article is in the works, then I guess I will just be patient and hpe for the best. Please, please for all things holy and automotive, don't just give us a half page gloss-over update and call it good. I have renewed my subscription and will keep reading, but please throw the legacy guys a bone here. I love that Travis is having fun with Dreadnought, but just don't move on to other projects and leave your readers with unfulfilled promises. Other than that, keep up the good work!

Subiesport Response
Ed: Ah, the Legacy. Yes, it is the bane of my existence. If you are lucky, next issue will feature photos of the Project Legacy being cut in half by a mini-gun with me laughing maniacally at the trigger. Just kidding.
The car is more or less completed, but we are finishing up a few little issues, like installing better engine management and fixing a few other bugs, along with a final tune. Stay tuned, as we will be doing a huge final feature on this, our most loved and hated project car.

I've been in SubieSport, but I've not had a subscription for quite a while, so I've missed any coverage of any pre-05 coverage.

Is there a list of members here that have been in SS?

No, we don't have a list like that. I was really surprised at the number of legacies shown.

EDIT: I think a 'featured members' list would be a good idea. I'm starting a sticky in the ROTM section for it.

They probably stopped project legacy because what he was doing has been done before and has gone on alot farther....lol

I thought it was cool to see BD project car but then when I found out about what he was doing i was like, wow your making my car....lol

He thought there were no turboed BD's in the NW when he stared the project so I think he was kinda bumbed when he found out about my car and a few others around here.

Just stating my own opinion.

They could easily have been different - "time attack" or just a straight out drag n drift racer.

A RWD conversion with a writeup how-to would have been cool. Maybe a water cooled system...

My car was already half way to winter mode... took the CF hood off and my lip is currently in 3 pieces.

I agree with Adam, And Roger is right too. Maybe they should have done more research to see what was out there and do a unique project.

A time attack BD on US soil would have been quite awesome. I know where there is a straight BD shell just sitting around...:-(

So, I've only mildy thought about sending in my request to Subiesport.

I thought perhaps a story on my car and my brothers car would be a good one. His Saab 92-X (Saabaru) and my BD are pretty unique and definately a bit off the normal beaten path as far as Subaru's go. He's done enough to his car that he might get in on his own though.

What would you say to a proposal for a modified BD article? I can try to contact the fellow that bought Xcntrk's car. Between the three of us, I think we have the most highly modified Legacies in the country as far as our generation.

That would be pretty neat. The new owner of xcentrk's car has a post in Members Rides 1.
