It was painted gunmetal, but I need to touch it up soon. I might go for the red lip, but def black w/red looks sexy.

I finally got a pic of the painted center garnish- not as cool as the mid spoiler, but it gives you an idea... Next up is tinted corners:

http://img269.imageshack.us/img269/4918/dscf0157x.th.jpg (http://img269.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dscf0157x.jpg)http://img357.imageshack.us/img357/8320/dscf0156.th.jpg (http://img357.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dscf0156.jpg)

Reflective tape is awesome. How'd you get it to contour to the wheel? Also- my experience with reflective tape is that it is very brittle and hard to remove, but breaks apart easily. That'd be my biggest concern is rocks and such chipping it. I used it on a project once and taking it off it would come off in little 1/4" pieces... all 3 feet of it.

I used krylon fusion. Their plastic paint. But it looks a lot more orange peeled in person, not as glossy as the pics. For the left reverse light turned fog brake light I used red krylon stained glass paint. I have some RC car spray tint that I've already tested, just need a good day to paint the corners.

Yeah!!! This guys posted Subaru parts for free on craigslist in the condition that I take everything. He didn't mention anything about the wheels. I replied and I guess the before me flaked. I get there and he had a pile of random stuff like a tmic, rsb, hood scoop, fog lights, stock exhaust system, bumper beam and the list goes on and on. I finally stuff my car with all the parts with just a little room left and he asked if I had room for a couple more parts. I was about to say know, but I thought what the hell, a few more parts won't hurt. So I tell him sure why not. Next thing I know, he comes out with these wheels still in boxes. I was stoked and installed them the next day. Man, I love craigslist. Btw, I will post the parts for sale in a minute. Check it out.

Maybe they were stolen.

Legacy
11-20-2009, 10:33 AM
I hope not. I asked the guy, John why he was giving away all these part away. He was tired of looking at it. Apparently, it was his sons and he promised that he would get rid of it before he went off to college. 2 years later, it's still sitting in John backyard. So, John took it upon himself to get rid of them. I didn't ask if he knew that his father was giving away all his parts. Oh well, his lost is definately my gain.

Hey guys, been awhile since I last posted. The Legacy was out of commission as it needed new cv axles and a valve gasket replacement. I finally found some time to take on these projects. The DIY cv axle replacement really helped out.
A few days ago I scored a set of Eibach 25mm wheel spacers. Ever since I flared out my fenders, which I really regret doing, the Leggy didn't have that flush look to it. So far I've only installed the rear. Before I can do the fronts, I need to get a set of camber bolts to give it some negative camber. Here's a few photos that I just took this morning.

Found these on another forum for $100. Scored big time. Now I just need to change out the door cards and all the plastic trims and carpet.
I also bought my wife a 96 Impreza Wagon for Mother's day as she got into a fender bender with her Jeep. I'm stoked because now I have another Subie to work on. I'll keep you all updated with this project as well.

Just received a set of wrx pedals today. Did some research about installing these. most forums mention that the brake and clutch are a pain to put on and suggested a second person to help put some slack for the throttle cable. Took me about 30 mins to install. I did not have a second person to help so I improvised and just used an extra ratchet to hold down the throttle cable.
I installed my rear tow hook today too, no prob.
Lastly, I got a set of Nitto 235's and had them installed. Looks beefy, but I do notice a difference in the acceleration.
Pics coming soon.

Looks good, man - I dig how the paint has smoothed in with time.
What did you do with the old ALT's? I'm always on the lookout for a set of 17x8's to replace the 18's I sold, since I can use 'em for winters on both cars.

Still have the Alts. Might mount then on my wifes GF8. She's rocking the Enkei's now. Planning on painting both wheel. If I ever plan to sell them, I'll hit you up.

Swapping out my tsudo catback to an STI exhaust. Just bought a house and I don't
want to be the neighbor with the loud subie that wakes them up in the morning
when I leave for work.
