aftermarket bodykits for 95-98 legacy?

ok, i typed bodykits on the search page and i really didnt see anyone that has a kit on these years legacy.. i googled it too.. nothing. noone makes parts for these cars? i really like the lgt bumper. but i figured id look into my options.

ive seen couple "custom" bumpers on some cars on here. but noone seems to sell them anywhere. any ideas? thanks!

primitive makes a front bumber(seen on project 97lgt, on subiesport)yes its back. centerforce makes a front, rear lip, sideskirt, aerotech make a full body kit for the bd(listed under bg but shows a sedan). its hard to find a rear bumper for the bds.

Your best bet is to find a JDM bumper on eBay. It would cost less, there are bodykits for these cars, just not in the US.

Yea and shipping for the aerotech kit cost more than the kit itself. It's not worth it at all to get a kit from over seas. Unless you like to blow money go for it.

Reminds me of the r33 body kits that most hondas and stuff are driving around with..

Dont really like how they wont fit the stock fog lights.. or .. will they? Not the ones from the 99 BD at least, or JDM projectors it looks like. Although it shows it with some in there.. doesnt look like the hole is the right size? Any input on this? If you can.. how come no one with the bumper has theirs back in?

Also I don't think the 3rd pic on their site is the Primitive bumper with JDM fogs. The cut-out on the Primitive bumper is too high.

i really like the look of the JDM GT-B bumper (i got one)...it looks really good and the fog lights are super sharp (though mine arent connected yet)....for the rest of the car, i dont know....

Are you talking about the cover that Primitive offers? If so you can get a JDM bumper beam but if you dont want to you just take the big plastic beam off and mount it to the metal one.

thats what i have, its really a strait forward swap, just un-bolt your current bumper from where its connected to the frame (you will have to take your grill and headlights off) and get the bold on the underside, then it should just pull strait out, you will want someone else to help you with that, then just slide in the JDM bumpet, bolt it on and your good to go.....oh, and be sure to put the fog lamps into the bumper before you put it on otherwise they are a real bitch to get in...do you already have fog lamps in your current bumper? if you do, then the JDM ones should plug strait into thier cables...which i dont have yet, lol, so for now they are just expensive gap fillers that look nice

ya, there are teh 4 maine bolts on the beams them selves and then those little black plastic screw/bolts under the lights and behind the fender. there should also be 2-4 bolds on the underside of the bumper.....the USDM bumper beam will NOT work on the JDM bumper unless you dont want the fog lamps as thier mounting bracket is atatched to the bumper beam.

but ya, its really an easy swap. just unbold, pull the whole thing off, put the JDM on one, and bolt it in.

mine was $286 shipped (shrink wrapped on a pallet!). i got it from the JHot Imports store on ebay and i highly recomend them :)

i also noticed immediately that the steering felt sharper as the JDM bumper weighs significantly less than my old one. unfortunately thats the only photo i took during the instalation :(

^ if you can ever find the rare aluminum hood, a couple companys make carbon fibers.. for wings aerotech nz makes two wings (both for sedan). sysm makes wings for both. zerosports (wagon) some other brands; chargespeed, prova, STI, worksbell.

I know this might be a little off topic, but I had the same problem trying to find side skirts for our car. Making your own may be considered "Rice" to some, but we liked them and they still flowed with the body lines of the car.

After a while of looking and not satisfied with some aftermarket ones, I decided to go custom. I took matters into my own hands as some "Ricers" do. Some were too expensive or built poorly and I had a GT at the time as well, so we didn't want twins. Some didn't like it, and some showed a better reception. None the less, I kinda kept the OEM upgrade list on my car going. They're off a newer model Legacy wagon which was a little longer. I did modify them, but took no shortcuts. I had to plastic weld them for structural strength and rigidness. I liked them better than my GT ones at the time, but the car might go under the knife soon to be redone. Possibly paint them or remove them for good. If I replace the front cover, Then they might stay.

You will need the JDM bumper beam with the JDM front bumper.

If not then you CANNOT mount your JDM foglights because it mounts to the JDM bumper beam.

The rear bumper is for wagons only. Just the front bumper and side skirts will work. I already have a front bumper. I'm not sure if I like those side skirts.

From what i know all 95-99 legacy kits are for wagons. They have to be custom molded to your car

Usually when it kit gets molded to the rest of your car cracks over time. The rear bumper is the only difference between the sedan and wagon. I'm sure theres rear bumpers for sedans over there.

Did you ever end up getting this? This is the body kit that I have on my wagon but I need a front and rear bumper replacement after an accident (Not my fault... ;) ) Anyhow, I've been unable to find anywhere that is still selling these kits. Does anyone have any idea(s) where I can find these liberal body kits?!

Hi All,

Im just staring out on this whole blog thing here, and im just after some advice..

I have a BG% legacy here in Australia, and it is carrying the AUDM RX front end, its okay, but hte paint has faded and wont ever come up to new again. Its super hard to find deacent Parts for a liberty (our crappy version) even rarer to find any party for a genuine Legacy.

Idealistically i am after a GT-B Limited bar, the ones with the larger air dams so as i can fit in a few spotties and the enter my beast in ROTM! but it currently looks a bit pussy and a bit ragged...

If anyone can help me out i would be greatly appreciative. Althoug i did find one of these bars on japanparts.com, i dont know if this part is boltable to the front end of my car or if i need some form of mods to be done to it?!!?!
