I live in upstate NY (Albany, NY if you wanna google map it), but SilentRacer and others live in NYC. There is going to be a CNYSubarus car show this summer, you could try to get to it.

My GF's family is having a pig roast too over the summer, most Pinoys we all know get invited, so if you were in the area, you'd be welcome. Me and one of her uncles are the 'token' white dudes there.

Come to Colorado...it's better than NY, Chicago, and LA combined.

@deadlydave: i'll be also going to NY. i'll give you a buzz once i'm there. i would love to join you and your family. hope i can be there on time for the show. btw, here in the philippines, summer are in the months of april and may. how about in the US? by the way, are you also a pinoy? :)

Sunset, sorry i'm not a pinoy, but most of my girl friends family was born in the Phillipines and moved here. Her generation is the first one born here in the US. I don't really understand Tagalog--I studied German for 5 years. I can tell when i'm being made fun of though. :-D. I love the food they make, its so, so good.

Summer in upstate NY starts in late, late may...June is when it really hits.

June, July and August are hot in southern New England. The 2 surrounding months arent bad. I was riding my motorcycle in November so it's not too bad, just not beach weather.

@deadlydave: its nice to hear that you love our food... :) i think i can handle your summer in the US specially in june. philippines is a tropical country so i'm used to having a humid and hot atmosphere around me... :) hehehe

how hot can the summer go there in the US? can it go over 40 degrees celcius?

guys, can you help me identify the specs of my car... is it a 2.0, 2.2 or a 2.5? thanks!

deadlydave

I'd guess 2.5. What country/region does the Phillipines get their cars imported from?

If it's North America, that would be a 2.5 liter SINGLE Overhead Cam, non-turbo.

If it's somewhere else, you may have the 2.0 Liter turbo or non-turbo engine.

Was the car modified at all before you bought it? The hood and Grille are Japanese, but the Left-hand steering wheel is a clear indication it is not.

Edit: See Reason's Post. I'm still in the BD mindset.

Dave IF it's a 2.5 it would be a SOHC. I'm pretty sure it's a 2.0l engine.

@deadlydave: the car is not modified when i bought it... funny thing though its a twin turbo! :) and your right, the hood and grill are japanese... actually it came from japan... i converted the steering from right to left... :) its an ej20, so i guess its a 2.0?

Very good, yea, that's right. Twin Turbo 2.0. You are a very, very lucky man. An awesome car. :-) Even in stock form, it is quite machine!

Hey, it's great to have another pinoy here :)

Saan ka sa pilipinas? Lahat nang familia ko ay tiga Manila. If you'll be around NYC sometime in the next few months, maybe I'll be there with the Legacy once it's finished

As for gas mileage...kung na sa traffic ka, yeah it's possible - Yung turbos mo ay talagang mahilig sa gas

Hmmm, kung puro highway/cruising ka lang, it may not be. Hindi ko alam kung ano ang talagang mileage w/ the ej20tt, pero mababa yung 4-5km/l kung na convert ko siya correctly (around 11-12mpg). Meiron Check Engine Light ba sya or something? Usually kung mababa ang fuel mileage mo w/ CEL, it's the oxygen sensor.

Ang Legacy ko ay nasa shop para malagay nang bagong makina (at least to me  ) from a 04 WRX... pero puro delays right now, ugh hopefully matatapos sya soon.
