I'm Shaun. I got into tuning cars about 2-3 yrs back. Played with Hondas for awhile (92 Hatch w/ B16 swap) and made tons of friends while having something to show for myself ( Lost a girlfriend over it needless to say, Haha I laugh now...). Took on some more bills and decide that my lowered and moded hatch wasn't as much fun in the snow. The Subaru scene always appealed to me. Outside of the typical well deserved WRX/STI hype, the Legacy GT caught my eye and living in New England, well the AWD drive is where its at. Sold my hatch (I cried. I still miss it, haha). Soon after I found my 98 Legacy GT Limited!!! I didn't have any real intentions of tuning the car ( Lucky for me it doesn't have the most tuning potential, so its ok that money is tight right now, haha). Then I got the itch tofind some bolt ons, suspension and rims to spruce it up a bit. Now in the next year or maybe less I may be looking to do a WRX swap........So as thats whats up!!!! Hopefully I have more luck on this forum then I did on LegacyGT.com and Nasioc.com, HAHA. Lates friends.

Really?! Thats awesome. Can you fill me in on some of the things I might be able to do?? It has a swapped 2.2 because the 2.5 shot a rod, but I hear that the 2.5 can have a lot of issues so maybe that 2.2 is a more reliable platform, not sure. Let me know!! Thanks!!!

2.2 NA has a lot less power then the 2.5 DOHC. There is a lot of stuff you can do. Several WRX parts fit on our cars. Is your car an auto or stick? Check out my pics and mod list under members I rides.

Hmmm I assumed that it more but I didn't think it was that huge of a difference. Unfortunately its A/T, but I've considered the S/T conversion (Nice at times, but boring as hell). I'll check that list now, Thanks duder .

2.2+4EAT= you loose

You have yourself a slug there. If you had your car dynoed you have somewhere around 80whp. The difference in power with the 2.2 and 2.5 is around 25 hp 20 tq something like that.

As for what can be done you can do many upgrades for the suspension. As for power I would consider a swap. Just don't plan on slapping on a "dope" bodykit because you are shit out of luck. Spend some time reading the forums you will find most of the stuff you need. Most of you questions been answered already. If not ask.....
