no panic but very heavy concern.

hahaha, nope no looting goin on. just got done eating some fajitas with the grandparents. they're are so glad that we got out of there and didn't decide to stay and shelter on base. theres still no communications capability with the base yet or the surrounding area so we just have to wait and keep checking CNN and Fox News Channel's. i know some of you folks up north of me had to have gotten some rain by now. anything to bad or just enough to ruin a washed car  ?

No rain yet. Usually, when this shit goes down in the gulf we get dumped on though...its only a matter of time :?

update: i've been able to get through to the base by proxy through Lackland AFB. they say i may be here in Austin for a couple months minimum. that our houses only sustained heavy flooding damage and light structural damage from winds and debris but are still standing. thats encouraging cause then atleast i can salvage things that wouldn't have been terrible destroyed by the mud and water. still though this is gonna be difficult for a lot of people to pick-up from this espescially those in N.O..

so for now i'm thinking about getting a part time job to help pay for these rising gas prices. also the extra pay will help go towards rebuilding.

i'm back at Keesler. they recalled me to aid with the rebuilding process. took a look at my home and it got flooded of course. spoke with my insurance and they're gonna be over to look at my place Wednesday.
