Squeaking/rubbing noise. Lower on the drivers side also

I noticed a grinding/rubbing/squeaking noise and a slight clunk here and there tonight. My wife drives the car and doesn't have the keenest ear for that stuff, but she noticed it just the other day. It does not get louder with speed as wheel bearings normally do, in fact the sound goes away. Also, why would be car be considerably lower on one side? I plan on going HR's/GR2's someday, but the budget isn't allowing that right now. Any ideas?

I have a bad wheel bearing on my left front hand side, and it squeaks and grinds now as well (started yesterday). It doesnt do it all the time however.. and actually goes away when I go faster as well (thank god!) :lol:

You might want to try to give it a better listen as to WHERE its coming from.. is it actually coming from the wheel itself? If so.. id say the grinding / squeaking IS a wheel bearing.

As to why one side of the car is higher than the other.. hmm, maybe check to see if there is any leaking fluids around that wheel, as your strut may have blown, or, maybe your springs snapped during winter?
