We will, I'll end up holding a meet in RI. I already mapped out a small route where we use to take our bikes. Pretty decent twisties. But I want to extend the route. If we get a decent amount of people I may do a cookout at a state park.

Back on topic, for you they may plan on coming. The two parks I'm thinking about using are Lincoln park in Lincoln RI and Colt State Park in Bristol. We had it in Colt state park , what two years ago? so I may hold it at Lincoln park and go to Colt state park for part of the road trip and take pics. RI is pretty small so I'm thinking a trip around the state, be prepared to drive lol

It's a part of RI, you need to take a ferry to get there. It's pretty small, it has one main strip. The rest is land and million dollar homes. It's a beautiful place but VERY small.

Block Island would be killer, but that's a long day for not much driving time.

Any of you RI'ers familiar with Newport? Would make for a nice backdrop for photos, but I don't know how many good roads there are out there.

I was just kidding about the Block Island trip. I haven't looked much more on the route, but I have a pretty good idea what I want to do. I'll take one day to drive and see what would be somewhat fun. This one road is really sweet but on the weekends during the day there a lot of motorcycles and cars riding it. At night is fun since you can go fast and not worry about others. The only thing is theres no lights on that road since it's out in the sticks.

There might be a problem with the location I pick. I went down there today to get information and they wouldn't let anyone else in the park. It was ridiculously packed! I NEVER seen it like this, I have a feeling the hot weekends will be tough. I'm thinking about just having everyone come to my house and we can just fir up the damn grill and go from there.

Ok it's official, the site has been booked and paid for. July 12th (Saturday) @ Slater Park in Pawtucket RI site #1. As for the time it's up in the air. I have the site for the whole day so whenever we decide.

The site has a grill and 2 picnic tables. I'm not a griller I just eat the food. So if someone who is 100% sure that is going and take over the food arrangements and work it out with who ever is coming. If you plan on eating, bring what you want to cook and eat.

I don't know it, google map Slater Park in Pawtucket RI 02861 and you should find it. There are two entrances one on Newport Ave and the other is on Armistice Blvd. The easiest way to find the site is coming in the Newport ave entrance.

Slater Memorial Park, I would say go in the 1A/Newport ave entrance. It's mostly one ways (or were) just follow the road to that sharp bend (left turn) at the bottom right of the park. Once you take that left it is the first site on the left, pull in the first parking lot. I may have to go early to steal picnic tables and try to hold parking spots (your not allowed to park on the grass).

This sucks, I hadn't been paying attn to this post and missed the date. By the time I saw it last night, it was too late to change work schedule. To make matters worse, on the way home tonight from work, I ran into Rob who was at the gas station filling up to head out, His car looks freakin unbelievable when it is freshly detailed. Thank god I had my SVX which shows pretty well, or I would have had to park across the street to avoid embarrassing him while talking to me. My "new" wagon isn't near ready to be seen in that company.
Post up a bunch of pictures for those of us either too dumb (in my case) or unable to attend, wish I was going to be there...
