weird stuttering /vibrating/gripping feeling? HELP??

Ok heres the low down when I'm starting off in 1st gear and start to let of the clutch and give it gas the car feels like it's trying to spin or grip the back wheels to spin. I feel this right behind the driver inthe middle/back end of the car. I checked the differental and it's full. Its almost like it feels like the AWD is going out would it make this kind of feeling? It has a small shake/stutter/gripping feeling only in 1st gear.

I know it's not the clutch I had it replaced about 2k ago. So any advice I've asked almost every Subie site I can, figure you guys are the ones to ask. THANKS.

Have you checked the transmission fluid/gear oil's level?

Same thing sometimes happens to me. Feels like the car is shaking back and forth pretty rough. Its only when starting off in gear 1, when slipping the clutch. It sometimes does help if you give it a bit more gas when you are slipping the clutch.

around what rpm's do you usually let out the clutch?

I'm getting it checked out tomorrow. All fluids and oil levels good. RPM's? good question when I'm feeling slow I let off at low RPM's when I'm feeling fast & Furious I let it rip I will watch myself tomorrow and see where it slips and where it doesnt make it shake. THANKS gentlemen

ok aparently sinve I have a aftermarket exhaust the hangers that hold my exhaust are hitting my drivetrain which (Ithink is bullshit since the exhaust has been on my car since for 5 years) SECOND, The car has a weird idol problem and needs the injenctors flushed $160 job. I can probably do myself (via sea foam engine cleaner, a friend has done and works, ask later if you want to know) and the worst I have a head gasket with an external minoe leak. The car has 133K+ miles, and I'm having a son soon so. I will be in the move of selling my 2001 BLK legacy GT "Black Betty" we call her. SO I'm mad first that I haft to sell my subaru, second I replaced the clutch about 1k ago and have several mods that I put time/money/effort into, but I am looking at a 04-07 Forester.

If you know anyone or want to buy a 01' LGT PM me I live in Westminster, CO. And pretty much have it parked and wont be driving it till I can find a new car. Thanks guys for the help..

honestly didnt get a dyno done, but felt a huge gain in first to third gear. I think I was making around 185 to low 190 HP, no management just strenghten what was needed to make the new cam work (it came off a 00' rs that a friend had nad was being parted out) she is a fun car to drive other N/A cars that tried to race me (which I dont honestly try to race) are surprised when I'm 2 car lengths ahead of them before there higher cylinder engines are kicking in.

Ok so after a few months of figureing this problem, its your U JOINT, the drive shaft has a little give and after a few friends trying to solve the problem the U joint is giving out and shaking viloently causing the drive shaft to vibrate and will cause problems if not fixed I'm getting it inspected/replaced wed. will keep posted on status

alright got the Drive shaft replaced this week, costed $300 parts and labor at Super Rupair in Boulder, I got a used drive shaft but in great condition.. The ride feels alot smoother now almost like a new car, with that old car smell

get sti group n engine, tranny, and pitch beam mount. it will help you alot. after i put in my spec clutch my engine felt like it wanted to jump out. know it dont move at all.
