I saw some similar posts concerning gold/bronze subie emblems. I saw one response to post that using nail polish is a suitable method, but I don't see how that would work. Otherwise it would be rad if I could catch some links to actual badges. Thanks pals!!

Light sand regular badge, hit it with some gold paint and then clear-coat it.

The Legacy Outback badges have a goldish tint to them.

Gold subie emblems? I have a 98 Legacy Limited and every emlblem BUT the subie emblem is gold. Either way I'd like a remedy for this issue. I just want an emblem with gold stars. The whole thing gold would look ILL tacky....

Gold Stars? That might be a lot of work. Silver stars on a gold background is easy as pie, I did mine completely by hand on my last car and it only took an hour or two.

Yeah I imagine it would be a pain. Thats why I wanted a real one if they were avail. Did you go about doing it the way Huffer had mentioned? With the light sand and nail polish? How'd it come out? I wish someone had pictures.

I tried it and it's not easy at all.
I tried a lot of this to get rid of the paint in those damn stars
-Nail Polish Remover
-Sand Paper
-Screw Driver
-Some paint remover stuff that I found in my basement
Nothing worked enough to get most of it off, so... I went with a JDM grill ^_^
GOOD LUCK!!!

All the emblems including the stars on the front grille were gold on my BD. I think I still have it.

Buy it and the red is EASY to remove. Or maybe if you have a red or white LGT leave it red and it will look sick

Hate to say it, but I'd also love to get a Subie badge with gold stars. I have a spare one at home but have been too lazy to take it apart and try to repaint it. If anyone has a link to where one with gold stars is for sale let me know too....
