I am looking to add fog lights to the top rack ( its being welded up very soon) of my BK. I was wondering if anyoune had any suggestions im looking at about 8" to 6" lights in the $200 range. I'm from WV and I drive a bunch in heavy fog and heavy snow. My headlights just dont cut it and I had the same problem with my old vehicle. I just added brighter bulbs to it but it was a suv as well which helped with projection. I had rally lights in mind mainly. Thanks. Also I was wondering if anyone had bought a used sunroof and about how much one should cost me.

For fog and snow you want low mounted lights that cut under the fog. You'll actually make it harder to see with higher mounted lights.
Hella makes some really nice lights, and I would look at the 500 series fog in amber, or possibly the pencil beams in amber.

But seriously, mount them down low...

top rack lights are truly illegal for street driving if there on. but idk if anyone really cares. plus you want fog lights to be low to the ground and in the front of the car. you might be able to fits some 4 inchs in the front bumper. piaa's and hella's are usally the best choose.

I thought about putting them close to the ground and my main lights and stodk fog lights do a really good job of close proximetity lightint about 50 to 60 fet but i was going to use the fog lights for longer distance seeing. I also checked with my gf's dad who is a town cop to see if they were illigal and he said that they should be within 18 inches of the front bumper without stone shilds on them but no one says anything and with stone shilds then wherever just as long as they pint at the road and dot blind people.

Use driving or pencil beams for the top lights if you want to see further then. Foglights are useless above your roof.

Yeah, you'll want driving lights for distance. For example, I believe the hella 500 fog lights are rated for 500 feet, but their 500 series driving lights are rated for 1800 feet.

ive looked at both 6 inch and 8 inch is there really a big differance between the sizes or is it just the quality of the light?

I put PIAA 580s on my truck a couple years ago.... WOW, not only can I now spot deer on the roadside a 1/4 mile ahead, they actually burst into flames in the beam of these lights
Seriously though... they are mega bright. Not cheap though, and definitely not street-legal :smt077
As others said.. mount FOGlights low, and DRIVING lights high.
BTW... since the truck was lost to a fire.... the 580s will be on my Leggy soon.... as soon as I finish the HGs :-(
