im thinkin not. differant style trannys, and i think even some of the demensions are a little differant.
Interesting - so that rules out all those aftermarket clutch options for the 2.5L motor then too. Does anyone know if there are ANY clutch upgrade options for those of us with the 2.2L tranny?

Hmm, I thought the 1.8, 2.2, and 2.5 all share the same manual transmission. Check the part no. of different clutches, see if they match. I think ACT and Exedy should have them listed on their website.

^ nope every 2.5 has a hydrolic tranny.
ACT doesnt even list anything for a 2.2, and Exedy only offers an OE replacment

well i have to correct myself, after some research on nabisco, yes 2.5 clutches will work with a 2.2 cable tranny. basicly the differance is the size of the clutch disk (its larger), so as long as your flywheel is new or resurfaced it will work fine!

It depends if the clutch is push/pull. They vary between different years and between hydraulic vs cable clutch.

^ yes but an NA 2.5 (hydro) works with a 2.2 or 1.8 cable tranny, from my understanding.
