Turbo?? RWD??

Okay I have a 2000 GT...and there is a guy that owns a local shop around here. He says all I need is a WRX ecu, injectors and of course the piping to put a turbo on my motor. He also said the ecu plugs right up. Im just wondering if this will indeed work. He also said he would make my car RWD for like $225. He specializes in DSM's and some Subaru. But Im not sure about everything just "pluging up."

wow he is so wrong i dont know where to start...... um exhaust side will bolt up, but u need to either notch or swap out your front crossmember for a turbo xmember, top mount probably wont work for space reasons ( the IMs are differant) so custom intercooler piping will be needed. the wrx ecu wont run your car well if at all. heads will need to be tapped for oil feed, u will probably need to move the coolant resevour. idk theres just so much wrong with this set up....

Thats whaI figured...I mean the guy has like three WRx's but no Legacys. One of them is RWD...Now IM questioning letting him touch my car to do the RWD switch.

What would be your rationale for switching from AWD to RWD? :-? You would gain absolutely nothing from that with an otherwise stock car.

Bad things can happen to stock automatic trannies when you only remove and block off the front axles.

IMO, i'd say avoid him working on your car. I just spent a weekend with a great tuner on a dyno and doing road tunes. Seeing some of the minor problems that cars had on all-stock engines makes me wonder what you guy is smoking.

Well mine is a manual tranny. I just like Rwd cars...Ive had Fwds for the last 2 years. He has a welded center diff. already from one of his other WRXs.
