I love my Subaru but I also love horsepower. I have a 2000 Outback with the 2.5L engine and would like to add more horses under the hood. What kind of options do I have and where do I buy the parts?
I am also looking to replace both oxygen sensors so my check engine light will go off. Is there any online stores where I can find these parts so I can avoid getting rapped by Autozone?
Thanks!

If you love horsepower then the only option is to SWAP in a WRX or STi engine + drivetrain.
Bolting on a turbo or even just doing mild things like adding an NA header aren't going to satisfy you.
O2 sensors can be bought anywhere - the Bosch universals are good if you want to bother with soldering, or you can just buy the ones that already have compatible connectors and then it's just plug in. Personally, I would buy the ones with the plugs already attached. It's more $$, but I had to resolder my cheaper ones twice.

or just google O2 sensor

outback is within 100 pounds or so of the regular legacy. i would suggest going with an intake, pulley, and full exhaust-header, cat, catback. i just need a header when i get money. i love the power i have. u can do cams and engine management or jump right to a turbo after the bolt-on pieces. that is what i plan on doing, keeping it N/A, with cams and engine management, then jump to a turbo. good luck.

That's not a smart move - spending all that money on engine management and cams, attempting an NA hp boost, when the principles of NA power differ somewhat from boosted power.
You might as well put that money towards a full swap.

huffer is right, nearly all mods your will make to make serious NA power will be useless when you go turbo - its just not fiscally smart

Engine swap > What they said
Only na motors worth building in this world is the notorious Vtak or anything 6 cylinders & Up.
Is the outback 2.5 DOHC or SOHc?
2000 Outbacks used a 2.5L SOHC.

either way, i am doing it in stages, cams and engine management first, wait a few years, and then turbo kit. the cams and engine management add 50HP. the turbo adds around 100HP itself. the cams only have positive results with the turbo kit. the computer is programmed to handle the cams when the turbo is put on. i would be spending the same amount of money in the end anyway, it is just a matter of how much power to get 1st.

DECKE48...the cams i am talking about are OK for both applications. HUFFER... try xcceleration.com. the cams and AVO turbo conversion kit are under the "impreza 2.5" tab on the page. rallitek also has the AVO kit for a little less.
