Hey, My CEL came on a while ago, been busy but I finally had a look at it, it's showing a misfire on cylinder 3. Nothing else, just that.

The plugs are new, tried swapping wires around so that the 3 plug was elsewhere and it's still misfiring on 3. When i clear it, it'll run for maybe 10 mins normal driving till it comes back on. The car SEEMS to drive fine, I'm not noticing any odd noises or loss in performance. Idle seems fine, it's not completely stable but it usually jumps around from 750-900 when not doing anything.

So, any suggestions? Someone told me it may be a valve clearance issue but he's not too sure.

Well if you already changed the wires and plugs i would try a coil.

no it wouldnt be a coil.. because a coil has to fire in pairs(waste spark). so it would have to misfire on the other cylinder to even think of being a coil.

The engine was rebuilt 1000 miles ago, but the shop who did it are being real assholes to me and not following through with their warranty, long story. They put the plugs in, they are Bosch.
