Have the opportunity to swap sway bars (or anything else really) with a '96 Outback Wagon.

ARE they bigger than my '97 LGT sedan? I think I read the rear might be...

What other parts should or could I swap?

Gt= 19mm front and 16 mm rear.

Outback=20mm front and 18mm rear.

Hrm. If it's not all rusted on (and the car doesn't dissapear) maybe I'll swap it (er, THEM) tomorrow night.

Checking Alldata here at work the front bar part number is the same for LSI, GT, and Outback, but the rear is just LSI and GT, Outback is a differnet part number.

So I guess I'll just be pullin' the rear.

Say what you want, but I've had dial capliers out and measured the stock sway off my L and it was 19. Then I measured one off the outback and it was 20.

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUDGE they came and took the car away this morning before I had a chance to yank them.

I was gonna measure with a dial indicator too, just to be sure, but the L is supposed to have a smaller sway the the GT and Outback up front.

Oh well.

Ahh, I didn't mesaure the gt, just always heard that the gt and L where the same size. You might be right. Maybe it's gt and outback 20mm and L 19mm.

Sorry to hear that. :-(
