Check out what one of our local club members just bought. Its a rare Red Legacy with a full JDM Ver 8 swap. I'm talking full including brembo's , DCCD the works. This is exactly what I was planning to do last year until I cheated and bought a new Forester XT.
So, should I take some more pictures for you guys ?

Somehow I don't think "woodgrain" and "STi" go together quite right....

That's about the only thing that doesn't go.
I think I would have to go FMIC and stock hood for a true wolf in sheep's clothing look.

+1 Paint the trim and go FMIC and it's an unbelieveable sleeper.

I wish it had stock seats personally, or some WRX/STi limited leathers.
That blue is such a clash with the red.
(that doesn't sound gay does it?)

We've know your secret for sometime now Rob.
You don't see many swaps on BE's, it has potential though.

Yeah, I'd be curious if you could to a baja swap and still have everything line up properly.
stealthy front mount and a stock hood... flat black the woodgrain and recover the seats... would be gorgeous....

guys can i say something i might be off key, but you need to take a really good closer look at that car
first the hood scoop is a stick on!, i know i have one, im sorry looking at the engine pic closer i realized some one has mangled the hood to cut in a WRX scoop !! I would be careful of that rusting out!!!!
second, you are right wood grain and STI dont go together!
third, those really look like some one had a doner WRX STI and swapped a bunch of stuff over EI, the engine, seats and steering wheel
fourth, rims and brakes... easily upgraded
fifth, where are the STI pedals and the chrome dead pedal
sixth, the rest of the interior doenst go and looks to stock!
the only thing that throws me is the gauge cluster....
I would not for a second call this an true STI legacy, mabye a legacy that someone took the time to make look like a STI
but im dumb and would have read instead of looking at the pictures, i would have seen it was a swap.......
DUHHH, nevermind

A Baja turbo hood would flow better, and no duh tot he hood rusting into oblivion.

I'd change the hood..thats about it. I'd keep the woodgrain for the luxo factor

The motor is the only thing that I'd take. The rest just doesn't flow.

You just said you wanted leather seats, that's equally disgusting in a car with power and handling capabilities.

yeah i saw the first pic...right away to the scoop...it looks like an 8 year old can pull it off simply
i saw the second pic...not that impressing either
sorry but yeah its a fake...i dont want to see any more pics of it

^^^ He wasn't saying it was an actual S401 (as taht was the only BE STi Legacy). But that it was a BE swapped with EJ257, Brembos, and (some) interior.

Sure.
I think an upgraded leather seat would be a good balance being there are other such leather items in the car. If a similar setup was in a L trim w/ cloth bits, I definitely wouldn't go leather.
Just my opinion, but I like a good balance between looks and power.
EDIT: and GT what do you mean by fake?

GT-Drifter is saying it's a fake because it's not a "real" Legacy tuned by STi.
You know what's really dumb though, is that the 2007 WRX wagon in Limited trim was NOT available to be built with non-leather interior.
I emailed Subaru America about this and they told me they didn't offer it - so I emailed back and said if I was going to spend $35,000 on a vehicle that had 250hp and "sports" suspension then I wanted something that was going to hold my butt in the seat. They apologized.

TBH, if that thing has all of the JDM impreza STi running gear, it's probably faster than a real "tuned by STi" legacy to begin with.

That's me!
Yhea, a couple of things to do on the car, the esthetics is not 100%.
Let's just say that it's way cheaper to fix esthetics than put performance into the car, i just got it, gimmie some time dammit
The hoodscoop is a butched job, i knew it when i baught it, the guy put the scoop in a hurry because the other engine blew because of bad air circulation. Next year the car is going to be repainted and i'm going to try to get my hands on either a turbo baja hood or aluminum JDM one.
As for the woodgrain, i think it's awesome, makes me feel like i'm in a luxury sedan..... with 300hp, hehehe.
As for the FAKE comment, of course it's FAKE, they don't make S401 around here and to import one, sheesh, cmon it's rare enough to find in japan.
Those are the pics i took when i first got the car. I put some JDM tail and USDM STI factory wheels on it and shined the hell out of it, i will post more pics.
Thanks for the comments guys.
Don't hate, love, go TURBO!

Any way I could get some more pics of the STi cluster in there from different angles?

That's really cool. And somehow I doubt that the Baja turbo hood could flow enough air over the IC to keep it cool.

Hey!
Damn i'm so busy with work it's ridiculous, haven't had time to do ANYTHING. I do want to say cheers to SILENTRACER as he sold me his HID'S and help me through the installation he was very good support.
Also you are right about the BAJA hood scoop, i looked at it closely and the scoop is rather small, i'd prefer that to keep the sleek look but the airflow is a big concern for me. That friggin turbo keeps the heat so bad that even an hour or 2 after i turn off the car the heat is felt or seen (wavy pattern like your on drugs  ) through the hood scoop. I will probably have to simply get another hood and re-use the scoop or whatever.
I will post nicer pics of the car soon and the cluster fitment.
