So I purchased a 05 Suabru Legacy GT Limited last fall. I want to start to upgrade certains things but not sure where to start. Think exhaust, pipes for the turbo, intake?, and maybe a blow off valve? Let me know what you think, thanks!

first thing that comes to mind is the up and downpipes, and then get it retuned either with an ECUTEK or Cobb Accessport (depending on what your overall goal is).

The Ecutek is great for "tune once, drive away" the Cobb AP is good for those that are constantly modding.

Doing those basic mods will lively up the car no end, as well as improving your driveability and fuel economy.

Forget the BOV, but a couple of axle-backs will make the rumble more apparent. If you do the exhaust + intake road, DEFINITELY get a retune.

Shoot, if you can do nothing else, get a retune anyway. Stock ECU pulls timing and fuel allover the place.

We also have a few BP/BL members here y'know. Maybe instead of directing them away, we could encourage some lively discussion about the 05+ LGT?

I agree 100%, that's the direction I was talking about :-(

Don't mention another forum there. I already got "warned" for posting links

Some places are WAY to touchy. Would have helped if this place showed up in a Google search for "Legacy Forum".....

ANYWAY...

I did an up/down pipe replacement with a friend a couple of years ago when he picked up his 05 LGT. Took us an afternoon and 20 cans of coke because he was a novice and baggied all the bolts. He also dropped the entire exhaust system when I would have just dropped the front part.

It was really nice because the bolts were all brand new and none of them were heatsoaked.

Man, that sounds nice. I had to use a friggin jack to get one of the bolts off a caliper a week ago.
