Hey guys,

As the above topic states - the wheels that came on the B4 Blitzen - are they any lighter because of their placement on a performance sedan? Or are they just as heavy as regular stock wheels?

Thanks,
JL

sometimes aftermarket wheels are heavier than stock wheels. it all depents on the wheel and tire combo.

This doesn't answer the question.

To JLav211 - the Blitzen B4 wheels - the ones that came on the BE/BH Blitzen's "honeycomb" style are NOT heavier nor lighter than the other 17x7 wheels of the same year. They weigh about 19-22lbs without tires.

also, keep in mind lighter isn't necessarily better either. Sometimes, lighter and stronger go hand in hand... sometimes not.

Thanks for the replies.

What's the general feeling on the $800 asking price for a set of these? I like 'em alot, and love OEM parts, but don't know if that's reasonable. There are a lot of nice wheels out there for $800...

Given the fact that they are a one-off design, and will probably never be made again... they are rare. So you will be very distinctive. Is $800 for a consumable a smart move? Depends on how much you want to be distinctive.

If I had a set of 17x7 tires lying around, I would be prepared to pay $700 for the Blitzen wheels.

Well look at it this way. No one here has them so ud be the first as they are a rare set of wheels. Sometimes you find a set of wheels and you say "yes those are perfect, i must have them" and price becomes a non issue.

I happen to have *exactly* that set of tires in my basement right now!

Thanks for the honest feedback...I mean, this is what I'm supposed to do with my "economic stimulus package", right?

I'm not particularly fond of the style, but those are indeed rare wheels, even in Japan, since they didn't make a lot of Blitzens to begin with (in comparison to the rest of the Legacy's, even regular B4's).

The price is on par with a lot of other semi-rare subaru wheels, the UK STI wheels comes to mind...if you like them, then sure the price is reasonable.

If you havent jumped on them yet, %mile has lowered his price to $650 and $750. Sounds like a sweet deal to me. Hes a great guy to deal with too.

I'd buy if the wife said go.

Yup, i'm in the same boat. I just can't justify buying them because they're rare. Too many other wheels i want.

NICE! I'm so jelouse i'm looking into ways to ruin your life as we speak. Let me know what the color is like. Pics of Blitzens look like the wheels are a dark grey or gunmetal but these seemes almost silver on the 5mile site.

Nice buy, If i can sell a bike i'll reprisent canada and you can reprisent the states.
