anyone tried fabric paint/dye for seats etc.

I was thinking of trying this stuff

I have a few projects one is painting an steering wheel airbag cover black and the other is painting the stock seats in my LGT.

the interior is charcol color but the seats have a lighter section with color flecks in the fabric. I wanted to get a color that was close and just spray the whole seat. Seems easy enough ... but I am worried that the paint will gum up the pile of the cloth.

The door panel inlays have the same cloth.

if you spray light coats on it itll work great. I use to detail cars n dye was my friend when carpet cleaner wouldnt work.
