was reading about jdm 4/2 pot setup on subaruwrxparts and came across they will fit in 16x6.5 with 3mm spacers. anyone ever do this setup? are my eyes deciving me?
depends on which 16x6.5 i believe... if I'm not mistaken they will fit with no spacers if you run the RS 5 spokers.... if you plan on running the snowflakes or pre 05 wrx stockers however, then yeah, spacers are required.

The RS 5-spoke and 6 spoke wheels have an offset of 53, the snowflake 16s have an offset of 55 I believe.
Edit: I stand corrected!

The snowflakes have an offset of +55. The ONLY subie wheels that are 16" with a +53 offset are 7" wide.
offset isn't what keep the wheels from fitting, it's spoke design.

I had problems running 16x6.5's with 5mm spacers for my 4-pots on the front. I sterted to get a wobble when the steering was at full lock. I ditched the spacers and traded for GC RS wheels. Either the 5-spokes or the 6-spokes will clear the brakes (since they were JDM sti wheels anyway for those cars.)
Honestly, the spacers were nothing but a headache for me, always worrying. The other wheels look better anyway. "Most" after-market 17's even cheapies will clear them though.
