Thanks to Soarer who I got this car from. It runs great, and looks pretty good too.
4eat w/ 89k miles on it.
No engine mods (yet), just a WRX downpipe with highflow cat, 3" exhaust all the way to the muffler. It's friggin loud. Maybe a little too loud.

Just got my 06 WRX TD04 turbo in today. The first piece to my upgrade project.
Some of you may have seen the pics, but these are pics I took myself today, after I gave her a bath.

A little bit of rust on that fender

Great find w/ such low miles! Was this the same SS that was on legacycentral?

-So if the WRX downpipe was a direct bolt on, would an STi downpipe be as well? I would think it would, but I went to a reputable exhaust shop w/ my friends SS and they said it would not fit.

Good luck with the car, wish I had turbo power.

Thanks for the comments. Yeah, Soarer was a member on legacycentral and here on sl-i as well.
Slight mods are needed for it to work, also it depends on what year wrx or STi you get the DP from. The 02 sensors are in different locations, a bung needs to be manufactured for legacy sensor, and the wrx sensor hole needs to be welded closed because it is right before the cat. It'll bolt right up to the turbo, it's just the other little things that need to be tweaked.

Better hit that rust...otherwise it'll flake away at high speed...

bdubs,
I like where you're going with this! You've had the car for all of a couple weeks and you've already bought a new turbo for her. I must say that I do miss her. You're right, it is loud. LOL. I thought that with the cat it wouldn't be that loud but I guess not.
For that dp to work, you just need to buy an exhaust bung (I got mine from Levine Auto Parts in Danbury CT) and then you close up the other exhaust bung hole. It bolts right up to the turbo but I had to trim the turbo chimney to retain it. There are also two mounting brackets for the stock DP. The wrx one only has one that mounts to the trans. I fabricated and welded on the second mounting bracket that goes to the block just for added security. Prolly not necessary but whatever. I like to do things right.
Hey, if you want to quiet her down a bit, you could always buy a used STI exhaust for like $100 and then just have a small section of midpipe made up to fit it. You might lose a tiny bit of top end but would prolly pick up some low end power. Just a thought.
