does anybody have any idea's for de-chroming the exterior trim around the windows, would it be easier to paint it or to cover it with vinyl?

Which would be easier? Vinyl for sure. You only mask once, and then you don't even have to remove the masking :lol:

I saw some pretty trick carbon fiber vinyl at advance auto of all places, but it actually had a 3-d layered effect. Very convincing. If you paint, make sure you tape off your whole car. Much easier to protect than to try and get overspray off.
