check engine light on...

my 97 LGT has had the engine check on for a good while now...took it to my friends house for him to check it out and he couldnt find the problem [yes he is a mechanic, and works for Toyota...] can anyone kind of figure out whats wrong with my car? any help would be great !! :grin:

go to autozone and ask them to see what code it is.

Some OBDII scanners are finicky. The Actron ones work well just about every time. Autozone use Actron scanners.

+1, I tried an Innova but it would never connect to my Legacy, picked up an Actron, works everytime.

Bright orange, hard to lose too :D
