Swaybar option

I want to get whiteline swaybars but I have to decide what size to go with. I know that
OEM 97 LGT F 18mm and rear is 16mm (Correction)
OEM 97 Outback is F 19mm and rear is 18mm

As of now I have F&R Cusco strub bars, Anti Lift kit (sport), rear subframe locks, rear diffuser bushings, rack bushings and the coilovers will be installed SOON. I use this car as a daily driver and want a bit more. So with that in mind I'm thinking

Whiteline heavy duty Front 20mm Rear 20mm ?

I know whiteline makes a front 22mm and a rear 21mm I think that would be to much and could probably cause the car to handle worse.
What do you guy's think?

a 18 for the rear will probally be good. a 19mm w/ poly endlinks will usally get rid of the understeer. you can buy a adjustable rear swaybar that will have settings to feel like a 18,20,22 if you want that upgraded feel for a short period but want something a little more comfortable for a daily driver. the only problem with an adjustable it will have angle issues with the endlinks. you can buy an adjustable swaybar mounts for a sti, wrx, 05+lgt to correct the angle.

I dont want to go bigger then 20mm. My car will ride a lot harder and I will probably end up making the suspension worse.

I would get an rear adjustable bar 18-20-22mm, and then play around with it.

The 22mm whiteline HD bar doesn't really change the ride, you probably wouldn't notice it at all (aside from the bodyroll reduction) with coilovers on the car.

Stock on an outback is 20mm front and 18 mm rear.

How about if I do 20mm Front and rear??

And why exactly do you want to upgrade? Too much understeer? Too much roll? what conditions are you experiencing the understeer?

Throwing random parts at the car will not make it drive better.

Well keep in mind that the reason engineers use swaybars is to have softer spring rates. You up the spring rates, there's less need for swaybars. Coilovers run rates that are typically 4-5x the springrate of stock; I'm just saying you kind of leapfrogged ahead of the typical upgrade path and you may not NEED to have such big swaybars.

You can of course upgrade the swaybars, it's your money. I'm just saying you may be wasting your money on something unnecessary.
