I am looking to upgrade my 95 legacy wagon because of a cross country move this coming june. I found a 2000 legacy GT sedan 93k miles on craigslist and went to go look at it Saturday.

There were a few small problems with it that I found, the big one being rust starting on the rear quarters that I would have to get fixed, rims are peeling and need to be painted or get a set of summer rims, needs tires in ~5k, 6 disc in dash CD player doesn't work, and its an auto but thats not a big deal for me.

They are asking 6K, the guy seemed like he was willing to negotiate what should I offer him. I added up a new 6 disc and re92s, thats about $1200 so I was going to offer ~4800 and see if he bites, what do you guys think?

your choice, but i would. also i have an in dash 6 disc that worked when came out. if yu want give offer.

In my state that's a little much for one with rust already...

I'd offer $5500 for it, given that you'd need to put new tires (and don't buy RE92s) on it plus the rust.

I'd go for it. That asking price isn't that bad, imagine what they'd want at a dealership. And yeah, don't get RE92s
