2002 WRX front swaybar in a 1998 Legacy GT Wagon

Does anyone know if a front swaybar out of a 2002 WRX will bolt into a 1998 Legacy GT wagon? If so, will I need any other parts to make it work?

I believe the answer is no, turbo cars have a different bar and crossmember. I could be mistaken though as I know it is one way compatible but I think its that na bars will work on a turbo car but turbo bars will not work on na cars

no it will not work... different oem part numbers and different aftermarket part numbers. its because of the way the manifolds run that will make it not fit

Hmmm, I bet one would fit my car with the Turbo cross member in there. I've heard of some people using the Tribeca FSB which is massive and is only like $80 from the dealer.

I'll be swapping a wrx crossmember into my lgt. With that said, it sounds like it'll fit, no?

What's the deal with the tribeca sway bar? What diameter is it and will it bolt into a wrx (or lgt with wrx swap)?

well I know a guy put one in a t-leg, so since I have a t-leg cross member in my car, I bet I could get it to work. I think it's like 24mm or something huge like that.

Tribeca bar is 26mm if I remember right, and yes it will fit certain models. Turbo and NA I think. I talked to a guy who tried to install one on his 91 legacy, and he said it was a real PITA to get on, but basically, instead of bolting to the inside of the drop links, it bolts to the outside.

Tribeca is technically a 25mm bar but tapers in some sections; people have calculater it's the same stiffness as a 22-23mm bar.

It'll fit both turbo and N/A subaru's.

You can't run a turbo swaybar because it'll hit your exhaust manifold. That's what the extra couple of bends on the N/A swaybar clear.

yes, if you run a uppipe you need a turbo front crossmember. If you do that a turbo front bar will work

Yes, and any sti swaybar too (you'll need adjustable endlinks for the sti one to fit) speaking from personal experience.
