BK Brake upgrade options

I am looking to upgrade my BK's calipers and rotors and maybe the booster if itll help. I curently have the 14 inch rim braking system on my 95 BK. Im looking for all the options out there. I mostly just use it as a daily driver buy was thinking about getting into some rallying events. Also with the suggestions what all do i need to sway out the brakes? thanks

As a DD, even with occasional rally cross use, you're going to be jsut fine with stock brake parts. Think about it, on dirt/mud/sand/gravel you have less traction to use for stopping. The brakes you have can already lock up the tires, so why upgrade to bigger ones? Not like you're going to see any fade in daily commuting and the occasional weekend fun. Hell, I autocross my Legacy weekly on stock brake components. At most you could do braided aftermarket brake lines, high preformance street pads and fluid and you would be more than set.

Unless you're running 14" wheels, upgrading to legacy GT or even WRX (if you plan on running 16"'s only) would be the way to go.

Are the gt two pots easy to sway and pretty avaliable at my local scrap yard? what all do i need to do the swap? i also will be going for 16 inch weels in the summer and i have 15 inch wheels right now will they still fit on both sets?

They will fit just fine under 15's. All you need is the caliper, brake pads, the caliper bracket ,and the Rotor. The outback and the Gt have the same two pots. They are susually pretty easy to find off an outback. Also don't forget that GC Impreza outbacks have the same setup. I belive the booster on all of them is the same, so I wouldn't worry about that. Master cyl is the same too I think.

Also I was wondering can I take the single pots that I have on the front of my car now and just move thenm to the back or would this cause the car to have a big problem with brake proportioning. It it is going to be a problem can i get and aftermarket proportioning valve and use it to streighten out the proportions from front to rear brake bias?

You can't do it. The brackets don't reverse like that. For one thing the front bolts are 17 mm while the rear are 14mm.

Just get better pads for the rear ,andget the two pots for the front with upgraded pads for those as well and your golden.

As I keep thinking about this I still think he's find with the stock calipers/discs he jsut needs upgraded pads/lines/fluid.
